Trying to go from memory here, been a while since it happened. But I think it was play in windowed mode, then alt+enter in game, if that doesnt work, after running the game sucsessfully in window mode, exit the game, restart but select full screen.
I've already tried: -Adding both Far Cry 5.exe (this one doesn't even launch the game) and/or the EAC launcher as a non-steam game and launching it that way. -Adding uplay as a non-steam game. Launching the game: steam > uplay > Far Cry 5. -Setting my binds as the desktop configuration to the steam controller and then launching the game through
If you dont want to restart steam, go to your processes and kill the FC5 one. #1. Chungo Beepis Apr 1, 2018 @ 3:16am. The process for FarCry5 is killed but Steam still thinks its running, so maybe an App status flag somewhere in the local cache files, meh, restarting steam works but it's annoying AF. #2.
Also, check the CPU and memory utilization in the Task Manager (opened by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ESCAPE). If before starting the game you can see that some process consumes too many resources - turn off the program or simply remove this process from Task Manager. Next, go to the graphics settings in the game. First – turn off anti-aliasing
Adaptive and dynamic V-sync [citation needed]; For Nvidia cards, Adaptive V-Sync can be enabled through the driver control panel. Set 'Vertical sync' to Adaptive.; For Nvidia cards and G-Sync monitors, a 60 fps cap in Nvidia Inspector or RTSS will greatly reduce micro-stuttering (if not all of it), only as long as the framerate doesn't drop below 60.

For Far Cry 6 not launching problem on Epic Games, follow these steps: Open Epic Game Launcher. Go to your game’s library and locate Far Cry 6. Click on the 3 dots on the bottom right to open Settings and then click on Verify. Epic Games will then start verifying game files, so wait for a couple of minutes.

The GOG version is free of DRM, as is the Steam version, so avoiding a DRM version if you've installed Windows 10 might be a must. Isn't steam itself considered DRM ? Developers can use Steam as a DRM if they choose, but they don't need to and can simply use Steam as an installer similar to GOG Galaxy.
When I first bought the game, I couldnt play. The game wouldnt open. The uplay window would open saying syncronizing saves, but then nothing would happen. The tast qould open for like a second max. After trying many things that people said, none worked. But I finally found a solution that worked for me. Everyone seems to have the same issue with a different cause. I reccomend checking out this
