First time poster here, got my 07 MK2 Focus about two weeks ago. It's a 1.8 Petrol Focus Sport, manual. I've noticed than when I'm coming to a stop, from any speed. I press the clutch in as normal before coming to a stop and the revs drop to about 500, sometimes when cold it cuts out at this point instead of bouncing back to idle rpm.
A code reader to check the code (s) and reset them after the test would be handy. The problem is quite a lot of stuff can lead to rough running: MAF, MAP, temperature sensors (in MAF, air intake, fuel return and cylinder head), possibly EGR, fuel pump, fuel pressure sensor, IMV, injectors. Oh, and crank sensor!

Posted April 22, 2018. Ford sells both the FoMoCo and the Motorcraft spark plugs. FoMoCo spark plugs are (depending on the spark plug type) produced by either NGK or Denso. These are the spark plugs that are factory fitted. Motorcraft spark plugs are offered by Ford as a cheaper alternative for the FoMoCo spark plugs.

The instrument cluster of the focus MK1 can be changed without any problem. On the focus Mk1 the mileage is only stored in the instrument cluster. If the instrument cluster is no longer showing the mileage and repair is not possible (technically or financially) there is no way to determine the actual mileage.

Really common problem we have seen on the 1.6 TDCI that come into us with DPF problems is that the rubber hoses that sit between the DPF and differential pressure sensor becomes brittle over time and breaks.
If the fuel tank sender has a permanent open or closed connection or the measurements are completely out of range it will be defective. Another possibilty is a defective instrument cluster. The Focus MK2/MK2.5 instrument clusters are known to have problems caused by bad soldering connnections of the circuit board.
